We are pleased to invite you to the launch of the report “Financing the United Nations Development System – Current Trends and New Directions”. The event, and report, is the result of a close collaboration between the UN Multi-Partner Trust Fund Office and the Dag Hammarskjold Foundation.
The second annual report on financing the United Nations Development System shines a light on current trends and challenges, as well as identifying interesting new directions in the financial landscape of the UN Development System. It provides an overview of sources and instruments of financing, analyses the implications of financing trends, and through extensive data and essays collection, including from a number of senior UN officials, highlights some new thinking around financing the UNDS.
The panel will consist of:
Bruce Jenks, Senior Advisor, Dag Hammarskjöld Foundation
Jennifer Topping, Executive Coordinator, Multi-Partner Trust Fund Office
John Hendra, Senior Coordinator, UN Fit for Purpose, UN Development Group
Moderator:
Do Hung Viet, Deputy Permanent Representative, Permanent Mission of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam to the United Nations
The event is organised by the MPTF Office, a UN center of expertise on pooled funding mechanisms, in collaboration with the Dag Hammarskjold Foundation. The MPTF Office’s current portfolio is over $9.1 billion in total and includes over 100 pooled funds established to support humanitarian, transition, development and climate change interventions.
