Bantayehu Demlie Gezahegn is a peacebuilding and youth leader based in Ethiopia. As a college student, he was among the inaugural moderators of the Sustained Dialogue initiative in Ethiopia, which was intended to promote positive peace through inter-faith and inter-ethnic dialogue among young university students. He is a co-founder and secretary of the Ethiopian Sustained Dialogue Alumni Network and was formerly co-chair of the United Nations Youth Advisory Board in Ethiopia.
Bantayehu holds an LL.M. in International Law from the American University Washington College of Law, and undergraduate degrees in Law and Psychology from Addis Ababa University. He has extensive experience and expertise on humanitarian and governance issues in Ethiopia and the wider Horn of Africa.
