Khadeeja ‘Haddy’ Sarr is Programme Manager in the thematic area of Building and Sustaining Peace. She supports the Foundation's implementation of the Sustaining Peace Resolutions (SCR2282 – GA707262) and the UN's efforts to promote prevention and conflict resolutions. Her subject matter of expertise includes peace and conflict; migration and remittances in the global south and global north. Previously, she has been a consultant to the United Nations International Organization for Migration (IOM) in the Gambia on migration governance and reintegration processes. She also worked for Goree Institute in Senegal on peace and conflict across Sub-Saharan Africa, where she closely collaborated with organisations such as ECOWAS, the Africa Union, KAIPTC, UN and the American Embassy in Senegal. In 2015, Haddy was awarded the Swiss national fund (SNF) to complete her Doctoral Degree in Philosophy (PhD) from the Centre of African Studies at Basel University in Switzerland. She completed her PhD in 2021. Haddy is fluent in Swedish, Wolof and English.
