The Civil Society Reflection Group on Global Development Perspectives met in Bonn as to merge the views of its members on the Post-2015 agenda. A discussion paper was developed and distributed at the ongoing conference in Bonn, Advancing The Post-2015 Sustainable Development Agenda: Reconfirming Rights – Recognising Limits – Redefining Goals, 20-22 March, as to further its view and influence the discussions.
The conference aims to help civil society organisations from around the world to interact with key actors in the parallel processes leading up to a new post-2015 development framework. It will help develop common CSO agendas and benefit the UN General Assembly efforts to bring together the voices and reflections of key organisations and compare the results of different national consultations.
The Civil Society Reflection Group on Global Development Perspectives was established in November 2010 by Social Watch, Third World Network, Development Alternatives with Women for a New Era (DAWN), the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, Global Policy Forum, terre des hommes and the Dag Hammarskjöld Foundation. It provides an informal space for in-depth discussions for civil society activists and scholars from all parts of the world to explore conventional and alternative models of development and well-being.
