The new development agenda – the Global Goals for Sustainable Development – recognises the links between development and peace by including a goal on peace, justice and strong institutions, goal 16.

On October 15, as part of the Dag Hammarskjöld Foundation/UNDP seminar series on the Post-2015 Development Agenda, UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative in Colombia, Fabrizio Hochschild, reflected on this inclusion of peace and justice in the new development agenda.

Using the Colombian peace process as a starting point, the seminar explored the interface between peace and development, as well as opportunities and challenges for the implementation of goal 16. Watch the full seminar below.
