About our work in this area
The importance of peacebuilding activities has increasingly been recognised as the key to ensuring sustainable solutions for development, humanitarian and security challenges. Adequate, sustainable and predictable funding remains a prerequisite for enabling the implementation of the Peacebuilding and Sustaining Peace resolutions and for building forward better and greener over the long term. Further consideration is needed to ensure that funding is made available for UN peacebuilding activities by Member States and the UN system alike.
