Remembering Hammarskjöld (29/07/1905-18/09/1961)

New journal series published: Addressing the Global Threat of Antibiotics Resistance (ABR)

The recently launched Journal of Law, Medicine and Ethics Summer 2015 issue focuses on “Antibiotic Resistance” (ABR) and includes a series of articles detailing the need for global collective action for ABR and what tools are needed to achieve it. The series sought input from experts from a diverse range of academic and professional disciplines – each of whom brings a unique perspective to advancing global health. This series was supported by ReAct, the Dag Hammarskjöld Foundation and the Norwegian Institute of Public Health.

The challenge of sustaining peace: The 2015 review of the UN peacebuilding architecture

Financing development: High expectations for conference in Addis Ababa

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are expected to define an ambitious and bold development agenda, following the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). Call For Strengthening Protections For National Security Whistleblowers

This month, as part of the “Stand Up for Truth” tour, a group prominent whistleblowers – Daniel Ellsberg, Thomas Drake, Coleen Rowley and Jesselyn Raddack shared their stories at a roundtable in the Swedish Parliament calling for the strengthening protection of whistleblowers. The Dag Hammarskjöld Foundation co-organized the event with the Right Livelihood Award Foundation who, in 2006, awarded Daniel Ellsberg the Right Livelihood Award.
