About the event
The Dag Hammarskjöld Foundation, in partnership with the UN Multi-Partner Trust Fund Office (MPTFO), the Permanent Mission of Sweden and the Permanent Mission of Kenya to the United Nations invite you to the launch of the Financing the United Nations Development System 2025 report.
This year’s report comes at a pivotal moment, following the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD4) in Seville and the adoption of the 2024 Quadrennial Comprehensive Policy Review (QCPR) resolution that which serves to guide the United Nations development system (UNDS) until 2028. With UN financing under increasing strain, the report offers new insights into global trends, funding flows, and the choices facing Member States and the UN system in mobilizing quality resources to achieve the 2030 Agenda.
The event will convene Member States, UN entities, and partners to discuss the findings, reflect on contributions from experts and practitioners, and explore how to advance predictable, flexible, and effective financing for sustainable development.
The event will be broadcast live on UN Web TV at 10:00 a.m. (EST) on 8 October. The webcast may be accessed here: https://webtv.un.org/en/asset/k1d/k1de2qzxyb.
Colleagues who wish to contribute to the discussion are invited to submit comments and questions in advance or during the event to mptfo@undp.org, with the subject line QUESTIONS FOR PANEL. Efforts will be made to convey these inputs to the panel, allowing for reflections in real time during the broadcast.
