The Foundation, including its Board and Secretariat, mourns the passing of Edward Mortimer, chief speechwriter for former United Nations Secretary-General, Kofi Annan.
Ed served on the Dag Hammarskjöld Foundation Board of Trustees from 2016 to 2018.
He will be remembered as a dedicated and sincere international civil servant and a much-appreciated member of the Board who, in a personal and professional way, contributed to the Foundation’s work with his deep knowledge of the international multilateral system.
